One thing we've always done, is respected the weather, We keep an eye to the sky at all times.
And with the weather that went through the area a day or two ago we are still counting our lucky stars. This rash of storms tore through Arkansas, Missouri and Tennessee, I think Kentucky got part of it too. To those whose lives were shaken by this event we send blessings for hope and healing. This is what we saw of the storm. ![]()
this photo is as we were going to the shelter at the court house in Mtn Home.
It's taken toward the north sky at about 5pm. We stayed in the shelter elbow to elbow, standing in the basement of the courthouse, as long as I could stand it and then we made our way to the car to go home. It was still raining hard but the blunt of the storm had passed Mtn. Home over.
We went home and listened to the radio reporting damage from neighboring areas. Gassville took a direct hit. Here are some of the photos from that area. Gassville is 9 miles away from Mtn. Home.
The next day we drove through the area this is what we saw. ![]()
There was two deaths and some were missing but they may have been accounted for by now.

Our hearts go out to those folks.
