Hello Dearies,

I hope this finds each and everyone of you, well and happy. Most of all enjoying this lovely summer weather. With the abundance of rain we have had up until now, everything is lush with foliage and blooms. It must be a good year for the birds too as they are most friendly and numberous at the deck feeders.  I could really get used to the close up and personal contact you have when your feeders are eye level and within an arms reach.

We spent an afternoon with a honey bee. There has not been an abundance of bees in our area in a long time. There still is not, but we had one buzz around us looking for we assumed food, so I mixed up some sugar water like for the humming birds and put some in a plate. This bee  buzzed about and found the buffet and ate his fill and left. But in a few moments came back with a pal. They both drank more sugar water and buzz was gone again. They returned and ate and left and returned all afternoon long. It seemed to me the bees seems a bit confused. I wondered if they were going to their hive and dropping off accumulated sugar water for others. I guess we'll never know but it was nice to watch the event. Where would we be with out the BEE.

Our back yard is coming along. Bills grass is sparce but a beautiful green, and in time it will fill out to a lovely carpet to walk bare foot on.
