I was carving out my pumpkin

With a little bitty saw

 First his eyes then this nose

Then his smiling jaw

I set him on my doorstep

A candle lit within

And when you come up on the porch

You see his silly grin

Trick or treating children

Thought that he was really something

That happy smiling face of

My Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkin

         Isn't fall wonderful. The leaves are just now beginning to change a bit from their green, to slight shades of gold and tinges of red. It will still be a week or two before they have their full colors.

 Fall is such a great time of year for all the festivals of the season.

That fall about our feet

Welcome children down the lane

Who call to trick or treat

The harvest moon up in the sky

A beauty to be seen

Evening Dearies, I hope this beautiful fall evening finds you all well and happy in the arms of the Goddess. Fall is such fine time to trod the woodlands for erie sites such as I've been finding lately.

Here is another Fungi,  Have no idea of the species though.

Looks like a brain, could be mine I lost it somewhere along the way.

Blessings Dearies, I've been out with camera in hand, dodging spider webs and poison ivy once more. These next two photos are fruits of my labor. This species of fungi is called....

Hericium Corraloides

This type of fungi is usually found on dead hardwoods

this time of year.

This one is on a dead hickery tree.

The web page I visited said it was edible.

Not at our house!

Thought you'd like to see it though.

Turning wheel yeilds seasons end
